MEET THE DEMOCRATS
Democrat | Spencer | Politician | Married
Anastasia Pittman was born in Miami, Florida on July 19, 1970. Her family moved to Oklahoma City during childhood, and she graduated from Star Spencer High School. Later, she graduated from the OU with a Journalism and Public Relations degree, then received a Master’s degree from Langston University in Education and Behavioral Science. She won election the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2006, and was re-elected three times before running for the State Senate and winning in 2014.

Anna Dearmore was orphaned when she was 17, but despite that tragedy has worked to build a successful career as a marketer with the tourism and real estate industries. She has been active with the community in Okmulgee with several service organizations. Her husband, Russ, is a Bronze Medal-winning Vietnam War Veteran and is a retired member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. She previously ran for House District 16 in 2016, losing in the Democratic Primary.

Eddie Fields was born in a military family in California on January 21, 1967. After his father finished his service, they moved back to Wynona, where he graduated from Wynona High School in 1985, and then later graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agri-Business from OSU in 1990. A third-generation Osage County cattle rancher and businessman, Eddie won a seat in the State House in 2008, and then won his seat in the Oklahoma State Senate in 2010, winning re-election unopposed in 2014. He sits on President Trump’s Agricultural Advisory Committee. He has been married to his wife Christina for 27 years. They have three daughters: Tailor, Jacie and Tristan. Christina is a teacher at Cleveland Public Schools. They attend weekly service at First Baptist Church of Wynona.

Dana Murphy is a fifth-generation Oklahoman who was born in Woodward to a ranching family. She attended Central State University and later OSU, where she graduated with a Degree in Petroleum Geology. She later graduated from Oklahoma City University’s School of Law, using both degrees to work both in private practice and as an administrative law judge for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. She was elected as a Corporation Commissioner in 2008, beating the appointed incumbent in a close race, and then winning re-election twice unopposed in general elections in 2010 and 2016.

Republican | Tulsa | Businessman; Party Activist | Married
Matt Pinnell is a lifelong Oklahoman who lives in Tulsa. He attended Oral Roberts University where he graduated in with a degree with degrees in public relations and government. He worked with a few outside political groups before working with the Oklahoma Republican Party, rising to become State Chairman in 2010 and staying until 2013, when he became National State Party Director with the Republican National Committee, where he worked for four years. Aside from his political work, he is a small businessman involved with baby products, and he and his wife Lisa have four children.

Born September 23, 1980, Dominique Block, Sr. is a small business advocate and forensic psychologist who has been active in Republican politics for several years. He has a Bachelor’s in Organizational Management from Langston University, and Master’s from UCO Criminal Justice Management & Administration. He is a Ph. D Candidate in Forensic Psychology at Walden University. He is CEO of The Office of Multinational Security and & Investigations, Inc. He preciously ran for office in 2010 in House District 88, losing in the general election.

Ivan Holmes was a Democratic candidate for Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Instruction in the 2014 elections. He began his career in education began at Northeastern Oklahoma A & M College, where he taught English, speech and journalism. After earning his doctorate he began a journalism program and handled publicity at Northeastern State University. He previously served as chair of the Oklahoma State Democratic Party for two years.
