Cindy Byrd


Republican | Coalgate | Deputy State Auditor; CPA | Married

Born and raised in Coalgate, Cindy and her family have been long-time residents of the State of Oklahoma. She graduated from East Central University in 1997 with a degree in accounting, and she became a CPA in 2003. She has worked in the Auditor’s office since receiving her degree, rising to the position of Deputy State Auditor for Local Government Services, which she still holds. She has seen the five-year backlog of county audits eliminated during her tenure as deputy in charge of those audits. She also has uncovered fraud and waste at the local level, as well, leading to convictions against guilty public officials. She and her husband, Steve, still live in Coalgate today.

Charlie Prater


Republican | Edmond | Business Executive; CPA | Married

Charlie Prater grew up outside of Altus in Jackson County, working on his family farm and at the local grain elevator. After high school, Charlie attended OSU, graduating with his degree in accounting while working full-time. He has worked as a private sector CPA for over forty years as a high-level executive first in the health care industry and later at one of the major national accounting firms auditing Fortune 500 Companies and managing mergers and acquisitions. Charlie and his wife Elaine live in Edmond, have three adult children and six grandchildren, and attend St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He is a member of multiple charitable organizations.

John Uzzo


Republican | Tahlequah | Business Executive; CPA | Married

John Uzzo is a longtime CPA in Tahlequah, where he previously served as Controller for the Cherokee Nation. He has also served as the CFO of a consortium of companies trading in crude oil, the shipping of refined products, and flatbed trucks. He has previously worked for on major national firms, and is a member of several accounting associations. He is also a veteran, and has been involved in several veteran service organizations. He previous was a Democratic candidate for State Senate in 2016, losing the primary.

Libertarian| Tahlequah | CPA


Yeutter is a CPA licensed to practice in the State of Oklahoma. A native of Michigan, he moved to Norman in 1978, and worked in the building trades for over 15 years. Returning to school, he studied accounting, and worked as a staff accountant at The Williams Group, CPAs in Norman. Continuing his education, he received his PhD from the University of Oklahoma and began teaching accounting at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. He has been teaching there for the past 22 years. In addition to teaching Auditing, Government Accounting and Taxation, Dr. Yeutter has been involved in community service. He coordinated a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, preparing free income tax returns for the public from 1998 through 2014. He has also served on various nonprofit boards in the community.
